[A] Dearham man has been charged with a drug supply offence following a stop on the M6.
Maurice Smith, aged 56, of Craika Road, was charged with possession with intent to supply controlled Class A drugs.
Smith was arrested by officers following a stop at 2pm yesterday (1st August) on the M6 southbound between junctions 42 & 43. Cocaine worth an approximate value of £10,000 was seized.
Smith will appear before North Cumbria Magistrates Court today (2nd August).
