[A] free family fun day is taking place at Moss Bay in Workington on Saturday 11 August from 1pm – 4pm.

The fun day will be situated in a marquee near Jane Pit on Moss Bay Road. The event will include a range of activities suitable for children and their families including crafts, storytelling, face painting, glitter tattoos and a bird of prey display. Those that prefer something more active can have a go at circus skills or a football workshop.

The first 100 children to arrive will receive either free hot food or an ice cream.

All activities are free of charge and admission to the event is on a first come first served basis so attendees are advised to arrive early to avoid disappointment.

The family fun day is organised by Workington Town Council who deliver community events throughout the year. The final summer family fun day will be at Vulcan Park on Saturday 25 August, from 1pm – 4pm.
