Resurfacing work on a section of the A595 in West Cumbria is set to continue.
National Highways said the work between Westlakes to Clints Brow is expected to remain ongoing from June 4 until July 17 due to continuing programme works.
Some full road closures will also be required between Bigrigg and Clints Roundabout from July 6 to July 10.
The full road closures scheduled for July 6 to July 10 Monday to Friday will take place overnight between 9pm and 6am.
Traffic will be diverted via the A5086.
Outside of these dates, the existing traffic management arrangements will remain in place, including the 40mph speed limit, temporary traffic lights, and convoy system.
On occasion, side road closures and local diversions will be needed when we’re working across junctions.
Both carriageways on the A595 from south of Westlakes junction to Clints Brow are being resurfaced.
Road markings between Clints Brow and Clints roundabout are also being renewed.
Teams are working overnight when traffic volumes are lowest. Any work carried out in Bigrigg will aim to finish by 11pm each night.
The works are currently programmed to start in Bigrigg on June 4, working between 7pm and 6am.
The surfacing works are weather dependant and no works are programmed for the weekends.
When contractors are on site, people and drivers are asked to keep clear of the work areas.
There will be marshalls on site to guide pedestrians around the works areas. People are asked to follow the guidance given by them.
A National Highways spokesman said: “We’re doing all we can to minimise the impact of our work.
“However, our work will inevitably generate some noise and minor delays and we’d like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.”
Drivers are asked to plan ahead and allow extra time for journeys.
