[A]n annual fund-raising golf day is set to raise more than £3,000 for a Carlisle and Eden mental health charity, 18 years after the first event took place.

The Inter Professionals Charity Golf Day is now its 18th year and takes place on 21st August 2018 at the prestigious Close House Resort in Heddon on the Wall. The event is hosted by Cumbrian law firm Burnetts with support from Rachael Bell Wealth Management.

The 2018 event is raising money for Burnetts’ Charity of the Year, Carlisle Eden Mind and the St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation which provides grants to many local charities.

The day will begin at 11am with bacon sandwiches and coffee before tee off at 12.30pm. Each team will play 18 holes of golf on the resort’s Lee Westwood Filly Course. There are a limited number of places available at a cost of £400 + VAT per team of four.

Richard Miller is a Partner at Burnetts and has been involved in organising the event on behalf of the firm. He said, “Close House is undoubtedly one of the best courses in Northern England and the chance to play there is always a great attraction. Even after 18 years, there has been a fantastic response from our co-professionals. With a full afternoon of golf and a post-game barbecue, this is a top quality hospitality and networking event for the region’s leading professionals.”

Rachael Bell, Principal at Rachael Bell Wealth Management said, “We work closely with other professionals to ensure our clients receive the best advice available & this event is a great opportunity to bring together like-minded professionals to forge ever stronger relationships and extend our combined offering for our clients. Close House is an excellent venue, with outstanding facilities – it is always a great day and never fails to help us raise a large sum for our fantastic charities.”

Sponsors for the event include: Burnetts, Rachael Bell Wealth Management; Liquid Studios and Cumberland Building Society. Funds are raised through entry fees, sponsorship and a raffle which includes luxury prizes such as a Fortnum and Mason hamper from Rachael Bell Wealth Management, an F-Type Jaguar for the weekend provided by Lloyd Motors and a Gin Tasting for six people provided by The Tipsy Filly.

Further information, including booking details, is available at www.burnetts.co.uk/ipg or by calling Dan McAulay on 01228 552222.
