[A]t 1:16am today, Thursday 16 August firefighters were called to Bridge End in Egremont following reports of a man marooned on a weir in the River Ehen.
A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Swift water technicians rescued the person using throw lines, floating lines and a wading pole.”
