[O]n a day where the country’s eyes are on A-level results, Level 3 students at Lakes College celebrate their fantastic Level 3 achievements with extremely high pass rates across their BTEC courses.

A BTEC, Business and Technology Education Council, is a further education and vocational qualification equivalent to A Levels – learners with this qualification have not just completed theory based assessment but demonstrated occupational and practical skills setting them up for their future careers in the workplace.

These qualifications act like A Levels and equate to UCAS points enabling many Lakes College students passage to university and higher education, while others begin their working careers.

Learners at Lakes College have excelled in courses like business, computing, nurse cadets, art and sport with students prepping to attend universities across the country in September.

Chris Nattress Lakes College Principal said: “We’re so proud of our Level 3 students, we have had some amazing results and success stories and their results showcase all of their hard work and commitment to their studies. We look forward to welcoming a number of the Level 3 students back in September for our university level higher education courses at the college, and would like to wish each and every one of them all the best of luck in the future.”
