Police appeal after man attacked in Ambleside

Police want to speak to this man

POLICE investigating an assault are appealing for the public’s help.

The incident occurred on Rydal Road, Ambleside near to the Tourist Information Centre at 09:45am on Thursday 27th September 2018.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “The victim, a 59-year-old man who was visiting the area, was assaulted by a male cyclist and sustained a head injury.

“Police are appealing for any witnesses to the assault to come forward and for the cyclist himself to do the right thing and contact police.

“Officers would particularly like to hear from anyone who can help identify the man pictured who is sought in connection with the incident.”
