Members of the public are invited to attend a coffee morning in Longtown where they can speak with a number of different agencies about any concerns or issues they may have.

The event will be held at Longtown Community Centre on Tuesday 16th October between 10am and midday.

Representatives from Unity, Carlisle MIND, Housing Association and local councillors will join Inspector Diane Bradbury, Sergeant Scott Adams and PCSO Laura Woods at the event.

PCSO Laura Woods said: “This is a great opportunity for those living or working in the Longtown and surrounding area to meet people who are working to improve quality of life in the area.

“If you have any concerns or any issues that you’d like to raise I’d urge you to attend so we can talk about them and see if there is something we can do to help. Alternatively if you fancy a chat over coffee and cake with us please pop by.

“A great deal of work has been conducted in the Longtown area to tackle issues that matter to local people, such as antisocial behaviour. This event is a continuation of work to build closer links with the community. By doing so, we can continue to keep local people safe from crime and antisocial behaviour.”
