Police are investigating an assault on a man in Cockermouth town centre.
It happened in the early hours of Friday December 14 – between 12 midnight and 2.30am. The exact location is unclear.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “Original information suggested the attack happened in the Black Bull pub in the town centre.
“Officers have now established this was not the location of the attack.
“The man who was attacked was aged 36. He did not suffer serious injuries.
“The suspected attacker was described as a white male, with short, mousey brown hair, wearing a red jumper.”
