Man kicked and punched in Kendal robbery

Cumbria Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a robbery in Kendal last night (28 Dec) during which the victim was also assaulted.

The robbery took place at around 9.20pm when the victim was walking through Yard 97 towards Highgate.

He was then robbed by two men who kicked and punched him, leaving the victim was facial injuries.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “The victim, a man in his early 20s was taken to hospital to be checked over but has since been discharged. He was robbed of £40 during the incident.

“The two men who carried out the robbery have been described as being in their mid-20s. One is described as white and around 5ft 6ins tall. He had blonde or fair hair and was wearing dark clothing.

“The second is described as being of mixed race, of a similar height and was also wearing dark clothing. He was more stocky than the first.”

Anyone with any information which could assist officers is urged to contact police referencing incident 249 of 28 December 2018.
