Officers are appealing for people to come forward with information after a man was found with serious injuries on London Road on New Year’s Eve.
At approximately 10pm on Monday 31st December 2018 a 38-year-old local man was found by a member of the public on London Road, Carlisle lying partially into the carriageway, on the footpath below Chertsey Bank.
The man had sustained serious head and leg injuries.
It has not yet been established how the man came to suffer the injuries.
Police are appealing for anyone to come forward who may have seen the man, who was wearing a blue hooded top and light-coloured jeans, in the area around the time of the incident.
Police would also request that anyone with dashcam who may have travelled on London Road between 9pm and 10.30pm to also make contact with PC353 THOMSON on 101.
The family of the injured man have been informed. The man is in a serious condition, having been transferred to RVI Newcastle.
