Police are investigating an assault which took place on the 18th December, between 4pm and 4:15pm, on the 67 Stagecoach bus to Upperby Road, Carlisle.
The victim, a boy, aged 11 sustained reddening to the neck after being grabbed by an elderly man.
The suspect is described as a man about 5ft 9in tall, aged between 65-70 years old, with short white hair who walks with a walking stick. The man was wearing a leather jacket and a white Christmas jumper.
Police are appealing for any information or witnesses to the incident to contact PC 2696 Muir quoting log 196 of 18th December 2018.
