A man has been arrested after a woman died from serious injuries in Dearham.
Cumbria Police were called by North West Ambulance Service at 10.15am today (22 Jan) to an address on Main Street, Dearham.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “A woman aged 69 was treated at the address having suffered serious injuries but has subsequently died.
“Officers have attended and a 45-year-old man was arrested at the address on suspicion of murder.
“The man is currently in police custody.
“The coroner has been made aware.”
