Community Therapists from Carlisle Integrated Care Community part of the NHS, have raised an amazing £4603 for the Eden Valley Hospice.

The team ran the Great North Run in September 2018 which topped off a fantastic year of fundraising events which included a raffle with generous donations from local businesses, cake bake sale, car boot sale, bottle bingo and face painting.

Natalie Godley, Physiotherapist and one of the runners in the team said: “The decision to support Eden Valley Hospice came after the loss of my Grandma, Enid Stuart in July 2017. I wanted to do something to say thank you and show my gratitude and appreciation to Eden Valley Hospice who cared so well for her in her last days.”

Natalie was joined by therapy colleagues; Cat Nixon Occupational Therapist (OT), Poppy Graham OT, Laura Armstrong OT, Cathy White, Assistant Practitioner who all ran the half marathon in September 2018 supported by Emily Kaye OT. Natalie adds; “It was a great team effort and it was lovely to see the whole community team coming together to fund raise for such a wonderful cause.”
