At 3:58am today, Saturday 2 February three fire engines from Ulverston and Barrow attended a fire at a property on Queen Street in Ulverston.
A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Crews used four breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
“One casualty was rescued from the property and taken to hospital after being given first aid by fire service crews.
“The Fire Service were engaged at this incident for one hour and fifty minutes.”
