A Carlisle man arrested after a fail-to-stop road traffic collision in Carlisle has appeared before District Judge Gerald Chalk sitting at Carlisle Magistrates Court.
Glenn Shields, appeared in court accompanied by a dock security officer and gave his address as Cant Crescent, Carlisle, he pleaded guilty to three offences.
Very few details were given to the court of the offences however on December 16, 2018, police were called to a fail-to-stop collision involving a Black Land Rover and a Mercedes Sprinter van.
Following police enquiries a 26-year-old man from Carlisle was arrested on the 3rd of February, on suspicion of two dangerous driving charges, one on Westmorland Street on February 1, 2019 and one on December 16, 2018 in that he drove a car dangerously on Lediard Avenue, Carlisle, also a threat to damage property belonging to a female, indicating her house would be smashed up.
The court was told Shields has amassed 25-penalty-points on his driving licence, during today’s hearing he was given an interim driving ban.
The court was told he runs a garage business and has people relying on him.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Carlisle Crown Court on March 11.
