Jimenez – Paella

The countdown is underway for Carlisle’s Easter’s International Market.

Market Place is returning to the city centre with their award-winning International Market between Thursday 18 April and Monday 22 April. Stalls are open Thursday – Saturday between 9am and 6pm, Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday between 10am and 5pm.

More than 30 traders will bring a real flavour of Europe and beyond to the city centre with wonderful foods and a great range of crafts and gifts from around the world.

For food lovers, there will be a tempting selection of continental and international flavours to sample including Spanish paella, Greek gyros, Chinese and Indian street foods to name but a few. For those wanting to take the flavours of the world home with them there will be a great selection of fresh foods including olives, cheeses, breads and cakes.

Whilst you meander around the stalls sampling some of the great food products you can browse some of the great craft stalls including handmade jewellery, Fairtrade wooden furniture and carvings, unique gift ideas and of course the famous Dutch Flowers on Tour selling a huge array of shrubs, bulbs, beautiful plants and trees with some great garden ornaments.

When you’re all shopped out you can relax and unwind in our Continental Street Bar with a variety of beers and wine, the perfect interlude to your unique shopping experience or it’s a great way to end your global experience.

Market Place will also be celebrating Easter by hosting a free Easter Egg hunt on Easter Sunday for all visiting families. Honey the Easter Bunny will be joining in all the fun and helping the children find hidden eggs amongst the trader’s stalls for their chance to win a free chocolate Easter Egg! So why not bring the family along to the market and join in the fun.

The event is organised with the support of Carlisle City Council.
