Lunesdale Arts Trail

This year the Lunesdale Arts Trail is creating the perfect day out with open studios, an exhibition, delicious food and a walk in the grounds of a local castle.

Everyone enjoys a good day out and that is just what is being offered in the Lune Valley in May this year. The Lunesdale Arts Trail now in its 21st year is opening the studios of 8 local artists showing a wide range of creative arts including, painting in oils & watercolours, detailed linocuts, life size metal sculptures, hand painted ceramics and textile sculptures. While in Hornby the Institute will be filled with a further 10 artists also showing painting and ceramics as well as felting, glass, leather and printing on wood. There will be a series of demonstrations, workshops and talks by the artists and refreshments will be served by Hornby Tea Rooms.

Hornby Castle will also be opening for river and woodland walks, plant sales and historical talks.

The Studios are open Sat/Sun 18-19th May and Sat-Mon 25th-27th May 11am – 5pm

The exhibition at Hornby Institute is open Sat-Mon 25th-27th May 11am – 5pm with Refreshments by Hornby Tea Rooms.

Hornby Castle Garden Open weekend 25th-26th May 10.30am – 4.30pm

Hornby Tea Rooms open 7 days per week Mon – Sat 9.30am – 4.30pm & Sun 10am – 4pm
