All lanes have reopened after a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the A66 eastbound at Temple Sowerby.
Police were called at approx 3:40pm.
Two cars left the road.
There are not believed to be any serious injures.
One lane was closed eastbound while emergency services dealt with the scene and recovered the vehicles.
