A man has been arrested and is in police custody following a serious domestic assault at an address in Scotby Close in Carlisle.
Police were called at 2.45am this morning (29 April) after a woman suffered injuries to her arms and hands.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “The injured woman was taken to hospital but her injuries are not believed to be life-altering or life-threatening.
“A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is currently in police custody.”
