Police are investigating an assault which took place on Saturday 13th April 2019 at approximately 1pm on Pow Street, Workington, outside of Debenhams.
The incident involved a man and a woman.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “The report is that the woman was pushed up against a wall and the man had his hands around her throat.
“The woman is described as having blonde hair.
“The man is described as white, with short brown hair and may have a tattoo wrapping around his neck.”
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to call PC Hill on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
