A man who suffered stab wounds following an incident at Brakeside Gardens in Whitehaven has left hospital.
Police were called at 2.15pm yesterday (May 21) to a report of a man having been stabbed.
A man, 61, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is in police custody.
The injured man, 43, was been flown by air ambulance to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle, he has now been discharged.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “The man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder remains in police custody this morning.”
Officers would continue to ask that anyone with information about this incident who has yet to come forward makes contact with police referencing incident 119 of 21 May 2019.
