Eight MEP seats in the European Parliament have been elected for the area which covers , Cumbria, Lancashire Cheshire, Greater Manchester and Merseyside.
The total number of ballots cast in the election in the North West was 1,744,859 – meaning there was a turnout of 33.10 per cent.
