Police Scotland is appealing for information to trace a missing 38-year-old man from Uddingston.

Mark Gordon (38) was last seen in Bredisholm Crescent around 5 pm on Friday 31 May 2019. He was reported missing to police by family after they were unable to get in touch with him.

Mark is described as white, around 5ft 11 of heavy build with short dark hair, a dark beard and a skull tattoo on his arm. He is believed to be travelling in his black Vauxhall Insignia vehicle.

He was last seen wearing grey jogging bottoms with black shoes although it is possible he may have changed his clothing.

Inspector Andrew MacDonald, Motherwell Police Office, said: “Mark has been going through some personal issues lately and therefore his family are growingly increasingly worried as time goes on.

“We have been speaking to those who know Mark as well as trying to trace his car in an effort to trace him and make sure he is okay.

“Enquiries carried out so far show that his vehicle was driven down the M74/A74 as far as the Carlisle or Gretna areas last night however we are still trying to establish if he as any links in these areas.

“We are appealing for anyone who knows Mark, has spoken to him recently, or has seen a black Vauxhall Insignia in the Gretna or Carlisle area last night to get in touch with us.

“Mark, we would also appeal to you directly to contact us, we just want to make sure you are safe and well.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 4173 of Friday 31 May 2019.
