Two fire engines from Barrow Fire Station and one from Walney Fire Station have attended a fire involving a domestic property on Low White Close, Barrow.
Fire crews were called at 8:26pm on Wednesday 19 June.
A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “The fire involved a first floor flat.
“Firefighters used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel, one thermal imaging camera, small gear and a positive pressure ventilation fan to extinguish the fire.
“One casualty was treated for smoke inhalation.
“Crews were detained for approximately one hour.”
