
Two men have been hurt following a road traffic collision which occurred on the A7 south of Longtown.
Police were called at approximately 5:15pm yesterday, Tuesday 9th July.
The incident involved a Land Rover Freelander and Nissan Qashqai.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “The driver of the Nissan, a man from Carlisle suffered minor injuries.
“The driver of the Land Rover, a man from Carlisle also suffered minor injuries.”
Two fire engines from Carlisle West and Longtown attended the crash.
A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “On arrival firefighters found one casualty trapped within a vehicle.
“Firefighters used Holmatro cutting equipment, Clan Lukas eDraulic cutting equipment and stabilisation equipment to stabilise the vehicle.
“Fire service were in attendance for approximately for fifty minutes.”
