The 2019 E3 Business Awards took place last night (Thursday 11th July) at the Premier Suite at the University of Bolton Stadium. A total of 300 businesses attended to watch the prizes being awarded to the 56 finalists.
Entries for all 14 categories were assessed by a panel of judges, on the basis of both a written submission and an interview. Some finalists were selected for more than one category.
Speaking on behalf of the awards-organiser, 1 Events Media, Managing Director Mubarak Chati said: “2019 has been another year of impressive entries and inspirational stories. We’ve seen fast growing businesses, dedicated staff and employers, fantastic examples of innovation, and charities doing some truly invaluable work.
“I’m proud that the E3 Business Awards can help to shine a spotlight on some of these amazing achievements, and I’d like to thank everyone who has taken part.”
The winners include companies and individuals from across the whole of the North West. (The full list is shown below.)

Award for Special Achievement
At the end of the evening, Mubarak Chati announced an additional award for special achievement – presented to a person or organisation that, in the judges’ view, was especially deserving of recognition.
This was awarded to Joseph’s Goal, a Wigan-based charity launched in 2012 by Paul and Emma Kendrick. Its purpose is to raise funds for research into Non-Ketotic Hyperglycinemia, (NKH), the life-limiting genetic disorder with which their son, Joseph, was born.
Others shortlisted for the special achievement award included One File, Rossendale Leisure Trust, and Kate Barnes of Utiligroup.
