Two fire engines from Workington have responded to reports of a fire in the open at Salterbeck, Workington.
Fire crews were called at 5:52pm on Tuesday 16 July.
A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “On arrival crews found 30 meters by 10 meters of grass burning adjacent to the railway.
“Crews extinguished the fire using beaters and water backpacks.
“Fire crews remained on scene for approximately one hour.”
At 7:15pm on Tuesday 16th July one fire engines from Workington responded to reports of a fire in the open at Northside, Workington.
A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “On arrival crews found one large quantity of refuse well alight.
“Crews extinguished the fire using breathing apparatus and one hose reel.
“Fire crews remained on scene for approximately fifteen minutes.”
At 8:42pm on Tuesday 16th July two fire engines from Workington responded to reports of a fire in the open at Salterbeck, Workington.
A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “On arrival crews found 50 meters by 5 meters of grass burning which was extinguished using one hose reel.
“Fire crews remained on scene for approximately one hour.”
