H&H Group well on its way to meeting its annual charity fund-raising target
H&H Group Plc, based in Carlisle, is chuffed so far with their latest fundraising efforts. Taking part in the Dragonboat Race on Lake Windermere on 7th July, the H&H Group team raced against 20 other teams to raise £1,750 for its nominated 2019 charities – ‘Mind’ and ‘Cumbria Community Foundation’. The event was a fun day out for all the family for those on or offshore.
Those taking part represented the individual businesses including H&H Land & Estates, Harrison & Hetherington, H&H Auction Rooms, H&H Reeds and H&H Insurance Brokers who not only enjoyed a great team event they more importantly raised a significant amount of money for two great causes.
Richard Rankin, Chief Executive for H&H Group Plc, explained why they chose to get involved: “This Dragon Race was a fantastic way to get our people from all areas of the business together to raise funds for two charities very close to our heart. Everyone involved had a fantastic day out and the event was a huge success smashing our goal of £750 by over 30%!
“I would like to thank all involved for their enthusiasm on the day, especially those on the boat dressed in matching bright orange shirts and headbands, and for everyone’s generosity in donating.
“The amount raised was way above our expectations and also a substantial contribution to our annual charity fund-raising target of £10,000.”
The H&H Group head office is located at Borderway Mart, Carlisle, with its operating companies based at premises throughout the North across Durham, Northumberland, Cumbria and the Scottish Borders. The Group will continue to fundraise throughout the year to get ever-nearer their pledge for their nominated charities.
