Carlisle Lake District Airport hosted the launch of an exciting new initiative to boost and support women in the world of work across Cumbria and the Lancashire yesterday.
Kate Willard, Director of Partnership Development at Stobart Group, chaired a straight-talking seminar, talking about her career trajectory and the airport’s development, following the launch of commercial flights on 4 July.
The audience included professional women and a few ‘forward and modern thinking’ men from across Cumbria and Lancashire. The event was organised by the recently formed Women in Property (WiP) in Cumbria. The seminars aim to provide a forum for professional development, bringing people together to share views, gain knowledge and meet like-minded people.
The next breakfast seminar will be in Penrith on 22 January 2020when Jo Lappin form Cumbria LEP will be presenting.
