Road Policing Officers are appealing for witnesses following a road crash involving two-vehicles on the A74(M) near Eaglesfield on Monday 25 November 2019.
Around 10.05am on Monday morning, officers were called to a report of a road traffic collision involving a lorry and a van on the northbound carriageway on the A74(M) at junction 20 near Eaglesfield.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Emergency services attended and the 34 year-old driver of the Renault Trafic van was taken by air ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, where hospital staff describe his condition as critical.
“The lorry driver was uninjured.”
Sergeant Billy Broatch from the Road Policing Division based at Lockerbie is appealing for any witnesses to the crash, or anyone who has dash-cam footage to please contact their office through 101, quoting reference number 0926 of 25th November.
