Since 2016, thousands of local people have donned red suits, pulled on fluffy beards and raced around the streets of Carlisle during the annual Carlisle Santa Dash. To date the event have raised £23,000 in aid of Jigsaw, Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice.

The money raised by all the fundraisers taking part in the event will help the children’s hospice to provide the highest standards of care, support and activities to children and young adults with life limiting illnesses. This care and compassion is extended to all the children and young adults family, friends and carers.

Vikki Taylor, Finance Administrator and team member, concluded: “As a member of staff I see the overwhelming kindness and support of the local community. The Santa Dash allows friends and families to get involved and raise awareness of the care we provide whilst having a lot of fun in the process.”
