Copeland Christmas opening hours and collection arrangements

COPELAND Borough Council offices (including Market Hall and Millom) will be closed from 1pm on Tuesday, December 24. Its offices will also close at 3.30pm on Friday, December 20.

The Market Hall and Millom offices will reopen at 9am on Thursday, January 2.

Distington Hall Crematorium office will close at 1pm on December 24 and will reopen on December 27, and will close again for one day on January 1. The Chapel of Remembrance is open from 9am until 4.15pm every day throughout the Christmas period and is open until 4.30pm on Christmas Eve.

Household recycling and waste collections scheduled between December 25 and 27 will be two days later than normal. Collections scheduled from January 1 until 3 will be one day later than normal. Collections scheduled for December 23, 24, 30 and 31 will be collected as normal.

The Beacon Museum will close at 4.30pm on December 23 and will reopen on December 27 and will close again on December 31 and will reopen on January 2.

There will be no markets held in Whitehaven, Egremont or Cleator Moor during the weeks commencing Monday, December 23 and 30.

The out-of-hours emergency number for issues relating to serious food safety complaints, reporting for food poisoning, dangerous structures, homelessness, flooding response, and sandbag requests for residential properties is 01946 598300.
