A Carlisle teenager has appeared before magistrates from custody today (TUES) charged with possession of an extreme pornographic image, portraying indecent images.

The court was told that on January 27 (MON) police searched the property he was living in and found a number of indecent images on electronic devices and he was arrested.

Wilson appeared before Magistrates in Carlisle on Christmas Eve of last year and was charged with a number of allegations of making indecent photos/images of a child, between November 28, 2016 and January 14, 2019, it is alleged that there was almost 2,000 child abuse photographs, he did not enter a plea to those accusations, he was sent to Carlisle Crown Court, and last week pleaded guilty to the four offences of making indecent images and was granted bail to appear again on February 28 at Crown Court to be sentenced.

Today magistrates remanded the 19-year-old into custody, he will next appear in front of a judge at Carlisle Crown Court on February 28, when he is expected to be sentenced for all offences.
