Police appeal after Workington burglaries

Police are investigating a burglary which occurred at a property on Guard Street, Workington. The suspect gained access to the premises via King Street.

The incident happened during the early hours of Wednesday 5th February at around 2am.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “The suspect is described as a white male, 5ft 10ins, small build with a beard, aged between 30-40 years old and wearing a black puffer jacket with the hood up, wearing gloves, and carrying a large Maglite torch.”

Police are asking for anyone with information to call PC 2520 on 101, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting log 13 of the 5th February.

Police are also investigating a burglary which happened on the old Eastman Ectona site, Workington in the early hours of Tuesday 4th February.

Police are asking for anyone with information, in particular anyone who saw people or vehicles near to the site at the time to call PC 2520 on 101, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting log 2567 of the 4th February.
