Police are appealing for information after racial and homophobic graffiti was daubed on the ground in Workington’s Vulcan Park.
Officers are investigating the hate crime, which was spotted over the weekend, and are asking anyone who has any information to come forward.
Inspector Rachel Gale said: “We take hate crime extremely seriously and we will not tolerate this type of incident in our communities.
“This was spotted over the weekend, with the graffiti in a public place.
“So we would ask anyone who may have seen anything or has any knowledge of this to contact us.”
