Police are investigating an assault that occurred at the Sheepmount Athletics Club in Carlisle.
The assault occurred on a path which leads to the football pitches at the back of the complex on 26 January at approximately 10am.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “The victim, a man in his 20s, sustained facial injuries.
“A 24-year old man, from Carlisle, was arrested on suspicion of assault at the scene and is released under investigation.
“Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident.”
