An extra public consultation event will be hosted in Maryport giving residents the chance to have their say on the town centre regeneration plans.

Earlier this month Allerdale Borough Council, which is leading the Maryport Regeneration project, and architects Buttress hosted pop-up consultation events giving people the chance to view and comment on some of the initial ideas which will make up a bid to the Government’s Future High Streets Fund.

The Council knows that some people missed the chance to attend one of the consultations and has therefore decided to add an extra opportunity for people give their views.

Representatives from the council and Buttress will be in the Golden Lion on Tuesday, February 25, between 5pm and 7pm to chat to anyone interested. The content of the consultations will be the same as the ones held earlier this month.

Further public consultations are planned for April and the plans which were on display can be viewed at www.allerdale.gov.uk/maryport. The Maryport Regeneration team can also be contacted any time through the above link.
