Police are investigating a hate crime incident which occurred yesterday (27th February) at around 8.20am on Brook Street, Carlisle near to the ‘Bargain Booze’ shop.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “It was reported that a man shouted racist abuse towards a woman and her young daughter while they were stood at the bus stop on the street.
“The unknown suspect is described as a white male, around 6ft 7ins tall, of slim build, clean shaven and wearing a short light blue waterproof jacket, a back woolly hat and was carrying large ‘bag for life’ shopping bags.”
