Police are investigating an assault which occurred on the 28th February between the hours of 5:30am and 6am on Barras Brow, Cardewlees, Carlisle. This is the road opposite the Spar garage on the A595 near Thursby.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen any persons in this area at this time or a black or dark blue Audi vehicle parked near the area around this time.
“A man has sustained a significant eye injury as a result of the assault.”
