Carlisle Lake District Airport

All scheduled flights to London Southend and Belfast City will be suspended from the 27 March until further notice, as well as those already suspended last week to Dublin, as a direct result of the Coronavirus impact.

Loganair customers will be informed by email today and fares will be refunded automatically. Loganair has updated its website with all relevant information and those affected are advised to visit www.loganair.co.uk.

Simon Williamson, Managing Director of Carlisle Lake District Airport, said: “The unprecedented situation that we are all facing is having a major impact, with Government advising against all unnecessary travel.  This decision reflects that important advice. Our priority must continue to be the health, safety and wellbeing of our employees, guests and the local community.

“Loganair has strongly advised that affected customers do not call their call centre as they are experiencing very high volumes of calls. Loganair has updated its website with all relevant information and those affected are advised to visit www.loganair.co.uk instead.

“We also want to take this opportunity to thank all our employees for their hard work during recent weeks, from implementing action plans to working to ensure the safety of all passengers and colleagues. The world as a whole is experiencing exceptional challenges right now and we appreciate your support and understanding.”
