Police are investigating an incident on Raffles Avenue, Carlisle which occurred on Sunday 24th May
Police were called at around 8:05am to the report of an assault in the area.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “A 28-year-old man from Carlisle was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary with facial injuries.
“A 28-year-old man from Carlisle was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and released on bail while the investigation continues.”
