Police are investigating an assault which occurred between 3pm and 3:30pm on Monday 18th May.
The victim was walking in the alley way between Islay Place and Frostoms Road when he was approached by a man. This man assaulted the victim to the face causing deep cut to the lip which required stiches and swelling to his eyes.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “A 24-year-old man from Workington was arrested on suspicion of assault thereby occasioning actual bodily harm and released on police bail.”
