The Fool of Muncaster, Gary Gacko Bridgens, ably accompanied by seasoned showman Lord Foppletwig, inventor & explorer extraordinaire and the redoubtable Mr Ian Douglas, the renowned raconteur of stories, will present THE GRAND CAVALCADE their new touring street theatre show on the Front Lawns of Muncaster Castle at 2 of the clock on Saturday 11 June, the day the ban on outdoor theatre due to the COVID-19 pandemic is lifted in England. HOORAY!
This will be a great celebration of fun & frivolity in a beautiful outdoor arena with historic Muncaster Castle as the stunning backdrop. A fitting place to kickstart theatrical performances once more being the home of Thomas Skelton, the original “Tom Fool” and this world premiere of this new show will be just yards from Tom’s tree where he sat many centuries ago telling tall tales.
Roll-up, Roll-up and buy your entry tickets online for Muncaster Castle at www.muncaster.co.uk at £10 an adult or £5 a child and flock to the Front Lawns for the 2pm show. Visitors will be respectfully asked to maintain 2m social distancing in their family bubbles while sitting or standing on the extensive lawns at Muncaster.
There are also the 77 acres of wild woodland gardens to enjoy and the Muncaster Hawk & Owl Centre is open again from 11am to 4pm. Don’t miss the Wild Heron Feed at 4pm. The Castle is still closed but will reopen on 15th July.
Light refreshments will be available but visitors are welcome to bring their own picnics and enjoy a fabulous day in the fresh air with LIVE ENTERTAINMENT once more!
