Volunteers have been busy preparing the Visitor Centre in Kirkby Stephen to reopen this week in time to welcome tourists back to the Eden Valley for the summer holidays. The centre offers a safe environment to provide information and guidance on things to do in and around the historic market town.
In addition it offers local artists and makers an outlet to sell a wide range of locally made gifts, cards and crafts.
Joan Johnstone (Chairman of Kirkby Stephen Town Council & Centre Volunteer) commented “ We are thrilled to have been able to reopen the Visitor Centre and welcome visitors from near and far to the town. I’d also like to thank all my fellow volunteers for getting us back up and running – we look forward to a summer of sunshine in the Eden Valley”
The Upper Eden Visitor Centre is open 7 days a week from 10am to 4pm, visit www.visituppereden.org.uk or call 01768 371199 for more information.
