POLICE are investigating an assault which occurred at approximately 6:30pm on 3 August on in the area of The Arches.
The victim is a 64-year-old man from Maryport and has sustained cuts to his elbow and has been elbowed in the face.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “The suspect has been described as a man in his mid-30s, around 6 ft 1 in tall, thin build, short mousey brown hair and no facial hair. He was wearing a dark green t-shirt and dark blue jeans at the time of incident.”
