Four arrested on suspicion of affray after ‘fight’ in Carlisle

POLICE are investigating an incident of affray that occurred yesterday (17 August) at approximately 1:45pm on Botcherby Avenue.

Two men and two women were seen fighting in the street.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “A 59-year-old man from Carlisle was arrested on suspicion of affray, and has since been released under investigation.

“A 24-year-old woman from Carlisle was arrested on suspicion of affray, and has since been released under investigation.

“A 40-year-old woman from Carlisle was arrested on suspicion of affray, and has since has been released under investigation.

“A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of affray, and has since been released under investigation.”

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident or for anyone with information to call PC 2827 on 101, quoting incident number 118 of 17 August. Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
