Beetham Nurseries has announced the return of Apple Weekend on 10th and 11th October 2020 with a fantastic line-up of activity, celebrating the nation’s favourite fruit.

The annual event will see over 40 varieties of apple trees and other fruits available, all with an exclusive discount for customers to enjoy for the weekend. Beetham’s team will be on-hand all weekend to offer advice when choosing the perfect plant and how to care for it at home.

A family treasure hunt will be taking place around the Garden Centre all weekend, inviting visitors to scour all corners looking for letters to make the magic word, and a children’s art competition will also be held to the end of October, with a very special prize for the winning masterpiece!

Sunday 11th October will see Andy Gilchrist, local apple expert, in attendance and on-hand to assist customers and identify their own apples from their garden. The Garden Cafe will be offering an exclusive fruity menu all weekend, and a giveaway of a Bramley apple tree will also be announced, so there really is something for everyone!

Managing Director, Stephen Abbit said: “2020 has certainly been an unusual year, and whilst we are still living with the Coronavirus pandemic, it’s fantastic to be able to bring back one of our most popular events for 2020, albeit slightly different to previous years. We look forward to welcoming customers old & new to what is sure to be a fantastic and safe event for all the family. The safety of our customers and team will continue to be our top priority, and government guidance will be followed across all activities over the entire weekend.”

Apple Weekend will take place on 10th and 11th October 2020 and is free admission for all visitors all weekend. Beetham Nurseries will be open Saturday 9am-5.30pm and Sunday 10am-4pm.
