Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident of assault that occurred at approximately 2:45pm today (Aug 27).
Officers were called to the area of Harrington Road and John Street in Workington after reports of a man assaulting another man with a metal pole.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “A 48-year-old man from Workington was arrested on suspicion of affray and actual bodily harm, he remains in police custody.
“Enquires are ongoing to locate the second man.”
