South Cumbria expansion for leading law firm

Elanor Findlay, Consultant at Bendles Solicitors

A leading Cumbrian law firm, Bendles Solicitors, has announced an expansion into the south of the county with the appointment of a highly experienced family solicitor, Elanor Findlay, who is based in Barrow.

Elanor has practised across Cumbria for nearly 20 years and joins the well-established family law team at Bendles to help develop the firm’s offering in South Cumbria where they believe they will be well placed to serve the local community.

Elanor previously worked for Bendles a mere five years ago but left to take a position as head of family law closer to her hometown of Barrow.

Commenting on her return, Elanor said; “I really enjoyed working for Bendles and being part of such a caring team so I was pleased to be offered the chance to join the firm again, and even more delighted to now be in a position to offer my expertise in my local area.

“Expanding Bendles’ reach into South Cumbria gives me and my clients the best of both worlds. I can continue being part of a great city firm, with their knowledge and professionalism behind me, whilst working, living, and playing an active part in my community.”

Rebecca Tonkin, Partner at Bendles, added; “The Bendles family department have been increasingly instructed to represent parties to family proceedings in Barrow Law Courts, and as such, it made sense to look at increasing our presence in the Barrow and surrounding area to meet the clear need for legal advice and representation.

“Every member of our family team is specifically chosen to ensure our clients receive the best level of legal expertise, high service standards and the attention they deserve as individuals. We handpicked Elanor and approached her to work for us on the basis that she fitted with Bendles’ values and expectations, and we are now pleased to welcome her back for the same reasons.

“Elanor has excellent local knowledge as well as being friendly and approachable, meaning she is best placed to help build Bendles future presence in South Cumbria.”
